Food News from Cheshire County Council

To increase the amount of organic produce on the menu, a new local organic beefburger has been introduced.

The new chilcken grill is made from UK farmed chicken breast.

We have included lots of the childrens favourites such as Spaghetti Bolognaise, Lasagne, Roast Dinners as well as a wide range of new dishes.

Menu choices such as Ploughman's Lunch and Fruit Jelly are lighter menu choices for the summer months.

We now have four fish products that come from a sustainable source and are certified by the Marine Stewardship Council.

We have been developing existing recipes to lower the fat, salt and sugar content.

Your child can get at least two of their recommended five portions of fruit and vegetables each day.

We have now added a new local Cheshire yoghurt, from Tattenhall using Cheshire milk.
