Meet the Staff
Below is the team who work tirelessly on a daily basis to make the school and its children what they are today. I hope you enjoy reading about them!
Coming soon: We have lots more pictures of all our staff, beautifully drawn by our children! Come back soon to see the additions to this page!
Mrs Cameron
Hello, my name is Mrs Cameron. I am the acting Head Teacher at St Annes. On Fridays, I enjoy teaching Year 6 but I also like to spend time and work with all the other classes. One of my other roles is to co-ordinate special needs and give support to those who need it.
As Maths Co-ordinator, I make sure that we work hard on learning our tables, number bands and solving maths problems.
Every year, I ask all the school to vote for School Council Members. Together the school council and I try and make changes and improvements that benefit everyone. The children and all the staff at St Anne's are very special to me!
Mrs King
I am the Assistant Head and Year 6 teacher. I am the Literacy and History Co-ordinator.
In Year 6 we enjoy re-enacting history such as Victorian Days and Evacuee Days.
Miss Georgiou
Hi, I'm the Year 5 teacher and I've been at St Anne's for about four years. I'm also the ICT and PE Co-ordinator and have loved taking the cheerleading club for the last year.
In Year 5 we like to learn through art, drama and lots of discussions! The highlight of our year is going to Conway on a residential trip, where we learn lots of independence and new skills.
Miss Hughes
Hi, I'm Miss Hughes and I teach Year 4, class 5. We like to do lots of practical and hands on activities. We all enjoy going on different trips to exciting places like Knowsley Safari Park and Tatton Hall.
As well as teaching Year 4, I manage the school football teams. We take part in lots of competitions throughout the year.
Mrs Roberts
Hello, I'm Mrs Roberts - I teach Year 3 with Mrs James. You can find me teaching on Thursday and Friday. I have been at St Anne's for about seven years now. It means a lot to me to work in a school where the Christian Faith is at the heart of what we do; I enjoy the lively atmosphere and also the quiet times of reflection.
I'm also the Music Co-ordinator and I run the school choir alongside our Year 2 teacher, Mrs Barnes. I really enjoy helping the children express themselves through music. I feel really proud when visitors comment on what a happy school this is, and how polite and well behaved our children are!
Mrs James
Hello, my name is Mrs James and this year I teach our Tear 3 children here at St Anne's.
I have the great privilege of preparing our Year 3 children for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion during the year. It's a really special time for us all and it's lovely to see them develop through the transition between Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
We take the children swimming in Year 3 and I really enjoy seeing them grow in confidence in the water. We aim to be able to swim at least 25 metres by the end of the course.
Mrs Barnes
Hello, my name is Mrs Barnes and I'm the Year 2 class teacher. I'm also involved with music, and play the piano for the school choir, for assemblies, concerts and for Church services and celebrations.
I joined the staff of St Anne's in 2004, and enjoy working in, and being part of the friendly, happy and supportive team that we are.
I help and encourage my Year 2 children to develop and extend their knowledge and skills. They enjoy learning to sew and make glove puppets, to do joined up writing and to use batteries, bulbs, buzzers and motors in their electricity work in Science.
Miss McGonigle
Hello, my name is Miss McGonigle and I am the Year 1 teacher and I've been at St Anne's for five years now.
I am the Science Co-ordinator and enjoy taking a 'We enjoy preparing food' club in the Summer Term.
Mrs Mosley
I am Mrs Mosley, the teacher for the Foundation Stage. I started teaching at St Anne's in September 2008 and have thoroughly enjoyed my time here so far. I have tried to develop a play-based curriculum which allows the children to have fun, whilst making friends and developing an understanding of the world around them.
I have enjoyed the opportunity to develop our new outdoor play area. The children participated in a sponsored walk which contributed towards paying for the little wooden play house and other fantastic outdoor toys!
The Governing Body is responsible for the appointment and dismissal of Staff, both teaching and non-teaching. The Staffing Sub-Committee carries out these functions on behalf of the Governing Body and it also has responsibility for implementing and reviewing the whole school pay policy with due regard to the Teachers’ Pay & Conditions Document current at that time.
